Purses & Pastries: Brunch & Silent Auction

The Purses and Pastries Brunch and Silent Auction benefits the Kiawah Cares Foundation and its partners. Enjoy a brunch by Harvest Catering and bid on new or slightly used designer purses from brands like Prada, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Coach, Brahmin, MZ Wallace, UGG and Dooney & Bourke. A few seats remain at this event, with guest speaker and Emmy award-winner, Carolyn Murray, evening anchor on the NBC Affiliate.
About Speaker Carolyn Murray
Carolyn Murray is an Emmy award-winning journalist and a public service advocate. Carolyn is a graduate of Burke High School and the University of South Carolina. She co-anchors the 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. editions of Count on 2 News as well as hosting her own podcast. In addition, Carolyn serves on numerous non-profit boards in the Charleston area.
Brunch Menu
Harvest Catering will provide a brunch buffet of spinach, roasted tomato, and feta frittata, house-smoked salmon cakes, a succotash and arugula salad, seasonal fruit with honey and mint and assorted pastries.
Attend - Table Captain or Individual Tickets
Kiawah Cares is in search of table captains to invite their friends and neighbors to join their table for the purse auction and buffet. Each table will have eight seats, but additional guests of the table captain can be seated at a table nearby. Table captains can either purchase a table for $300 or ask their guests to contribute to the ticket cost. Individual tickets are also be available at a price of $40.

Donate a Purse
The purses will be new or very gently used designer bags along with several unique pieces. Each table captain will be asked to find and donate at least one purse to be put into the auction and other residents and guests are encouraged to donate appropriate bags as well. All donated purses will be accepted and either used in the auction or donated to other charitable organizations.
To donate a purse, email kiawahcares@kica.us or drop off your donation to Beachwalker Center at 23 Beachwalker Drive, Kiawah Island.
This event was previously scheduled for March 17, 2022 and has been postponed to Oct. 27, 2022.
