Made with Love
Made With Love (MWL) is a Kiawah Cares crafting group that makes handmade goods like tied fleece blankets that provide comfort and essential warmth to students, teachers, families, veterans, seniors and pet rescues. Volunteers from Kiawah Island and surrounding areas join together to produce and deliver blankets, bookmarks, pillows, tote bags, sachets, magnets and more gifts of comfort and appreciation to care for our neighbors on Johns and Wadmalaw islands.

Volunteer
Most of the crafts created by Made With Love require no experience, just a giving heart and a little time. Men and women are invited to join! Along with making gifts of comfort, the group needs delivery drivers to help deliver the gifts to schools, churches and nonprofits.

Join us for Fleece+ Fridays, most Fridays at 10 a.m. at Kiawah Island Community Association’s Beachwalker Center. This is a welcoming group and you are invited to drop in to learn or participate. All skill levels are welcome as we make no-sew fleece blankets, craft greeting cards, sew fabric totes, knit/crochet scarves and more.
CRAFT AT HOME
Take-Home-and-Make Crafts
Not all Made with Love products need to be made at Fleece+ Fridays. No-sew blanket/pillow and sewing project kits are available for pick-up Beachwalker Center (Kiawah Island Community Association offices: 23 Beachwalker Drive). Instructions, fabrics and other supplies are provided, or you can buy and use your own supplies. Make your items at home and bring in your finished products. Even if you are making products in a different state, you can mail in your finished items!

FUNDING
Donate funds to supply Made with Love with the materials and supplies needed for their gifts of comfort.
CRAFTING SUPPLIES
Fleece yardage and cotton fabrics are always needed. Pillow inserts “14x14” are also needed. Donations can be dropped off at Beachwalker Center (23 Beachwalker Drive, Kiawah Island).
TOILETRY DONATIONS
Made with Love compiles “comfort packs” of travel-size toiletries to give away to individuals in need. Donate your new or unused travel toiletries to Made with Love. They always accept: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, disposable razor, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, feminine products, comb, brush, lip balm, etc. Bring your donations to Beachwalker Center (23 Beachwalker Drive, Kiawah Island).
